They thought life happened to them. We decided to happen to life.

Our parents believed there would always be more time. That Social Security was a plan. That someday would eventually arrive on its own. We watched that story end quietly, and we decided to write a different one.

Both sets of our parents had plans.

They talked about what they were going to do when the time was right. Places they'd see. Things they'd finally do. But they didn't build a plan around the dream; they just held onto it. And when the time came, health and money and shrinking lives decided for them. The trips didn't happen. The dreams got small. And we watched it unfold from the front row.

That image, of a life lived smaller than it was supposed to be, is the reason this brand exists. Not to be dramatic about it. Not to scare anyone. Just because we know what it costs to wait, and we decided we weren't willing to pay it.

So, here’s what we decided instead.

Seven years before retirement, we sat down and looked at what we actually had: our assets, our time, our health, our options, and built a plan around what was real. Not what we wish we'd started earlier. Not some perfect version of our finances. What we actually have, right now, and what we can build from here.

We call it The Before We Go Plan, because we're going. We're not waiting to retire to start figuring it out. We're building the travel life now, before the alarm goes off, so that when the day comes, we can step into it rather than start from scratch.

Who We Are

Bran

A teacher by nature, she knows how to take something complex and make it feel possible. She set out to learn everything: how to budget for travel, how to read the market, how to build the plan. When she decides to understand something, she doesn't stop until she does. She'll make you feel like this is achievable. Because she was once where you are, and she found the path through.

Jeff

The architect. He turns the dream into a spreadsheet, the spreadsheet into a system, and the system into a trip they actually take. He's the reason they went to Egypt when it felt impossible, because he researched it, planned it, and made it happen. He'll show you the process. Not the highlight reel. The actual steps.

Together, we are two things at once: the dream made believable, and the plan made human. We don't always agree. We don't have it all figured out. The conversations about what our ceiling and floor look like, how far we're willing to go, what we're willing to spend, and what we're willing to give up; those conversations are still happening. We're having them in real time. And we're letting you watch.

A few things we won't compromise on.

  • Every trip gets paid for before we take it. Full stop.

  • People aren't held back by inability; they're held back by not having a plan. That's fixable.

  • The window is never completely closed. You may not have it as wide open as you once did. Work with what you have.

  • Showing the plan matters as much as showing the trip. The process is the point.

If you found us because something made you wonder whether it's too late;

It isn't. You just might need a different plan than the one you had in your head. And that's exactly what we're here to help you build.
