Where We Stand Today

This is our live snapshot. No dates, no old versions, just where things actually stand right now.

Current progress toward retirement: 2,521 days out from June 2033. That's the number we're counting down, one day at a time.

We're funding this in phases: full-time cruising, a home base, and eventually settling into a Florida condo. Each phase costs differently, and our income covers more of it as time goes on.

Where our savings stand: As of August 2026, the early years still show a gap between the life we're dreaming of and what our income can carry. That's the honest part. But it doesn't stay that way. By our third phase, we're fully funded, and every year after that, the gap turns into a surplus.

What's changed recently: We stopped chasing one flat number and built a real phase-by-phase model instead, comparing our dream budget against actual projected income for each stretch of retirement. It told us something we needed to know: the real work is still ahead of us in these early years, but the years after that are already covered.

We update this page whenever our numbers change. Watching the gap close is the whole point.
